Cast iron’s durability and corrosion resistance has made it the standard for a wide range of industrial products, including pulleys. As good as cast iron is, however, not all cast iron is created equally. Versa-Bar cast iron offers significant advantages over other cast irons.
The continuous casting process we use creates metallurgically superior parts. Because continuous cast metals solidify at a much more uniform rate, they are much more durable than sand cast components and other steel alternatives.
